Policies & Procedures

Paws of Olympus Policies & Procedures

1. Right to Refuse Service
Paws of Olympus reserves the right to deny service to any pet if we believe it is in the best interest of the animal or the groomer. Not every pet is the right fit for every groomer, and vice versa. The safety, health, and well-being of both pets and staff are our top priorities.

2. Matted Pets & Shave-downs

  • Additional fees apply for pets with mats or requiring full shave-downs.
  • In severe cases, we may recommend the procedure be performed by a veterinarian for the pet's safety and comfort.

3. Flea Policy

  • We reserve the right to deny grooming services to pets with fleas.
  • Additional charges will apply if fleas are discovered during the appointment.

4. Vaccination Requirements

  • Groomers may request proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination (per Connecticut State Law).
  • If a pet is not current on their rabies vaccine, we reserve the right to deny service for safety and liability reasons.

5. Cancellations & No-Shows

  • Please give as much advance notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule.
  • Repeated cancellations or no-shows may result in removal from our schedule.

6. Inclement Weather

  • In the event of bad weather, we will do our best to notify clients in advance and reschedule appointments.
  • The safety of our groomers and your pets will always come first.
